In the lush green lands of England, a small rocky island has been turned into one of the most iconic concert venues – Spike Island. The movie titled “Spike Island” captures the story of a rock band who want to play there at any cost. This 2012 movie is a coming-of-age story that revolves around the lives of five young lads from Manchester who are determined to make it big in the world of music.
The movie begins with an introduction to the Stone Roses and their upcoming gig at Spike Island. While the entire town is buzzing about it, our five young protagonists – Tits, Dodge, Zippy, Penfold, and Little Gaz are busy trying their best to get tickets for themselves and their girlfriends. But fate seems to have other plans for them.
As they desperately try to get their hands on tickets to see their idols perform live at Spike Island, they encounter several obstacles along the way. They also have to deal with problems in their personal lives as well as the pressure from society around them.
The plot takes an interesting turn when Tits comes up with an audacious plan. He convinces his friends that they should form a band and play at Spike Island as a supporting act for Stone Roses. With only six weeks left before the big day, they face many challenges in getting ready for their performance.

In terms of cast, Elliott Tittensor plays Tits and gives an exceptional performance as the leader of this group while Emilia Clarke plays Sally who he’s been crushing on since childhood makes hearts flutter with her stunning looks throughout the movie. Other superb performances include Nico Mirallegro as Dodge and Jordan Murphy as Zippy respectively making us care about each character and root for them every step of their way on this road trip like film.
