Based on a novel by Richard Matheson, the film takes us on a journey through a post-apocalyptic world where one man is left completely alone.
The storyline of “Alone” is both haunting and gripping. We meet Robert Neville, played brilliantly by Will Smith, who is seemingly the only survivor of a virus that has wiped out most of humanity. He spends his days scavenging for food and supplies while trying to find a cure for himself and others.
The news reports that air throughout the movie set up the plot perfectly. We see glimpses of chaos leading up to Neville’s isolation, but then it cuts directly to him alone in an abandoned New York City.
