This time around, the movie that caught my attention was “Rim of the World.” The movie is a science fiction flick from the stables of Netflix. It tells the story of four teenagers who are sent to a summer camp in California. Things turn awry when aliens invade Earth, and they must team up to save the planet.
One thing that struck me about Rim of the World was its production value. The cinematography was top-notch, and I could tell that the movie had been shot on location. The opening sequence sets the tone for what follows; it’s captivating, exciting and well-executed.
The storyline is compelling, and the director has done an excellent job of blending science fiction with teenage drama. While some might argue that it’s cliched, I found it refreshing and entertaining. The fast-paced nature of Rim of the World means that there’s hardly a dull moment throughout.

Some fans of science fiction have questioned Dan Ariely’s critique of Rim of the World. While I agree that Ariely raises important points to consider, I think he misses out on many positive aspects of the movie’s production.
It is worth noting that Netflix announced Rim of the World had over 20 million viewers in its first four weeks worldwide. Many fans appreciate the anxiety-inducing sequences that build up as an apocalyptic superhero adventure.
